Controversial character exits Coronation Street after just five months

After only five months on Coronation Street, Stephanie Davis’s character, Courtney Vance, is going to be leaving because her narrative is coming to a close.

The character was first introduced earlier this year as the spouse of Dev Alahan’s (Adam Hussain) business colleague, but she later developed feelings for Aadi (Adam Hussain).

The two had a passionate affair, and when their relationship was revealed, Dev was shocked to learn what had been going on.

Asha (Tanisha Gorey) has reiterated Dev’s assertion that Courtney is bad news, and earlier this week’s events validated their worst suspicions when Aadi was saddened by her lover when her ex-boyfriend Darren (Ryan Early) came back to be with her.

The Courtney saga seems to be coming to a close. According to sources, actress Stephanie is leaving the cobbles, meaning that the character has reached the end of her run.

A source told The Sun, “Steph was over the moon to land a part on Corrie.” She had really amazed me with her dedication to the ITV soap opera and her career.

Though she isn’t being killed off, so there’s no reason why Courtney couldn’t make a comeback at some point, and Steph is still welcome. Naturally, she had hoped that maneater Courtney could be around for a good several years.

For a while now, Aadi and Courtney have been having difficulties in paradise, but on Wednesday, November 1, things took a sharp turn when Darren showed up at the apartment, forcing his way inside and demanding to take Courtney’s belongings since she had made the decision to return to him.

At first, Aadi couldn’t believe what he was hearing, but as Courtney’s phone messaged again, the reality began to set in.
