Even though Jamie Borthwick, who plays Jay Brown on EastEnders, escaped the car incident, but he still faces a major risk of losing all he owns, including the possibility of going to jail.

As fans will recall, the bereaved father was involved in a horrific vehicle accident last week when he chose to travel to Margate while high on narcotics.

His loved ones, Ben and Billy Mitchell (Max Bowden and Perry Fenwick), rejected him before the crash, making it obvious that they didn’t want him in their life because of his careless actions after Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) passing.

After using drugs, Jay felt alone and had nowhere else to go. He got into a car and drove to Margate, where he had spent special times with Lola a few months prior, only to have disaster strike.

Billy and Ben were incredibly hopeful that Jay would recover, but they were also filled with remorse over how they had treated him.

When Jay awoke, Ben asked him if he was attempting suicide. Jay insisted the collision was an accident, but he acknowledged that he had considered ending his life several times since Lola’s death.

Ben immediately reassured Jay of his love for him and promised to support him as they made a commitment to creating new memories and having something to look forward to.

But on Wednesday, November 1, things became rather tricky since Jay said that the police wanted to test his blood to see if he was drunk when the collision happened.

He believed that serving time in prison would be beneficial for him, but Ben insisted that this was not a possibility and urged him to think about Lexi (Isabella Brown) and the potential effects on her.

Much to Ben’s relief, Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), who was also involved in another collision earlier this year, visited Jay at the hospital in an attempt to talk some sense into him.

Will Kim get Jay to listen?

In addition, will he follow Ben’s advice and deny the police access to his blood samples so that the drugs have enough time to leave his body? Or is the incident really going to land him in jail?
