Coronation Street spoilers: Bernie faces prison after arrest – as Paul’s death ending is confirmed

In forthcoming Coronation Street episodes, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) makes a desperate move that lands her in the hands of the police when she’s arrested.

After applying for Personal Independence Payments, Paul (Peter Ash) is shocked to learn that it would take 11 weeks for his benefits to be processed. Bernie is appalled and worries about how he will handle things up until then as his failing health will need additional spending.

She runs into Big Garth, her market contact, and requests him to move the items she stole from Shelly (Natalie Amber) as part of Shelly’s credit card fraud as soon as possible.

According to Jane Hazlegrove, “big garth’s involvement in anything is guaranteed to go wrong in the end.” “She has outlived her luck because she has relied too much on it,”

Bernie is detained on suspicion of handling stolen items as she goes home, not realizing that a police officer has been filming their exchange.

Bernie tries to ignore her concerns about the arrest and be strong for her son’s sake as she travels with Paul to his speech therapy appointment the next day.

When Paul informs the speech therapist that he’s been having spells of coughing, Bernie notes the worry expression on her face as she advises Paul to visit an MND nurse.

When the nurse meets Paul, she delivers some terrible news. He now only has six months to a year left to live since his illness has become worse.

Bernie is devastated for her son’s sake and is very angry with herself since she knows that if she gets arrested, she may end herself in jail just when Paul and Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) most need her.

“She is very angry and hates herself,” Jane Hazlegrove said.

“She won’t be there again when they most need her.” That type of thing need to be permanently inked on her arm as a reminder. Because, after all, it’s simply another pattern? She has let them down and, in all honesty, she has never been more needed.

They are now bearing the cost of maybe losing her presence since she tried to assist them without considering the potential repercussions. She’s disorganized.
