Bobby Brazier holds back tears over tragic cancer story as dad Jeff offers support

Bobby Brazier refrained from crying when his father Jeff told him to “grab life with both hands.”

Along with competing on Strictly Come Dancing, the 20-year-old EastEnder made an appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox last night for a Stand Up To Cancer special alongside his 44-year-old father.

The story of Harry, a young man who went dark one night and later found out he had two brain tumors, was shown to the couch critics at the end of the show.

After learning that a third tumor was growing, Harry told him he was now assisting his family with funeral arrangements.

Many of the viewers were obviously moved by his story, as evidenced by the Gogglebox cast members who started crying.

Jeff talked to his son shortly after that, emphasizing the value of living each day to the fullest.

“Many of us go through life without really grasping it and appreciating what we have,” he remarked, throwing his arms around his son, who was clearly emotional and taking everything in but looking off into the distance.

It’s demeaning to be made aware of that, he continued.

Bobby was only five years old when his mother Jade Goody, who rose to fame in 2002 after competing on Big Brother, passed away at the age of 27 from cervical cancer.

She parted ways with Jeff and her two kids, Bobby and Freddie, who are now 19 years old.

Bobby revealed earlier this year that he didn’t remember much about his mother and therefore relied on other people’s recollections to get a sense of her personality.

“I’m always being told about her and what she meant to people,” he said in an interview with The Times. I suppose the memories of my mother that I have are through the eyes of others.

Bobby grinned broadly and said, “Right,” in response to the interviewer’s statement that his mother was “well loved.” I’m grateful that you gave me your wonderful personality and attractive face, Mum.

Bobby has stated in the past that he believes his late mother would be “proud” of his acting endeavors.

“She’d be pleased.” How come she wouldn’t be? She would be proud and supportive, just like everyone who loves and cares about me, my friends, and my family, so I’m sure—well, I know—that she would be too.
