After being raped, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) on Coronation Street keeps trying to help people.
Amy was attacked by James Craven’s Aaron Sandford earlier this year. Amy passed out and went to bed while the teenagers were drinking throughout the evening. She discovered in the morning that she had been raped because she was unable to give her permission to have sex with Aaron.
Aaron insisted that Amy wanted sex just as much as him after the incident and refused to accept that he was to blame.
Aaron thought back on that particular evening and finally realized what he had done, even though Amy was going through a terrible ordeal. That was the only closure Amy received when the character left Weatherfield with his father.
Next, Summer (Harriet Bibby) chooses to assist Amy at the drop-in she has planned for the charity that provides counseling.

The girl leaves while Summer and Amy are preoccupied, and when Amy realizes what happened, she feels angry with herself and wishes she had offered her some assistance.
What will happen to Amy as she tries to move on after a terrible few months, with Summer worried about her friend?
“Throughout the entire Aadi and Courtney narrative, we’ve seen on screen that she’s beginning to feel a little bit of joy and other things,” Elle Mulvaney informed us.
It’s nice in those aspects that Amy is beginning to laugh and go out again. However, there isn’t a clear-cut path that begins with happiness and continues to grow in happiness, you know? There will be ups and downs.
People are never completely fine, and even if you are doing well for a while, something could happen to remind you of this and pull you down, allowing you to get back up again.
“Therefore, I believe there will be more to this than just her improving.”
