Emmerdale spoilers: Sam faces the end as police confront him over Craig’s murder

After Craig Reed (Ben Addis) passed away, Sam Dingle (James Hooton) found himself in a terrifying situation in Emmerdale: he could go to prison.

Following the revelation that Craig had sexually assaulted Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), scenes from last week’s broadcast (October 30-November 3) showed Lydia attempting to piece together what had transpired. Craig was later discovered dead.

Viewers saw where each of the Dingles had been in the moments before Craig died through a series of flashbacks, and it was eventually revealed that Craig had been crushed to death by Kim Tate’s (Claire King) horse, Ice.

Unfortunately, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was fully aware of what had transpired but chose not to tell the group, leading Sam to believe that he had killed Craig by beating.

Even though the Dingles banded together to help Sam hide his tracks, Lydia is unable to give him an alibi, and a new spoiler video shows Sam being questioned by detectives in a police interview room.

Detectives in the spoiler clip want to know exactly how Sam hurt himself, as his hand is bruised from the beating he gave Craig in the final hours of his life.

They uncover his untrustworthy witness statement, exposing that he initially claimed it was an accident but has since changed his story and acknowledged punching Craig.

Sam maintains that Craig was still alive when he was abandoned, to which DS Wise responds that Sam was the last person to see Craig before his passing.

Sam keeps insisting that he wasn’t the one who killed Craig, and the investigators quickly end the interview.

Sam is curious about what will happen next and asks DS Wise if they will speak to Lydia. He is taken aback when DS Wise says they haven’t been able to contact her.

Will Sam face charges for Craig’s murder as he anxiously awaits word on what will happen next?

While Cain embarks on a quest to locate Lydia, the Dingles worry about Sam’s future because he has no alibi.

Sam tells her the truth when she eventually gets back home: He wasn’t the one who killed Craig.

Unfortunately, Sam and Lydia are still at odds, and even though he hopes they can start moving on, he is heartbroken when she tells him she’s moving out. Will they be able to move forward again, or is this the end for the couple?

In the meantime, Cain tells Kim over a covert phone call that the police investigation is going as well as planned.

Will this cause the Dingles to fall apart?
