The actor will be getting married next year.
James Moore, a star of Emmerdale, has provided an exciting update on his forthcoming nuptials.
The Ryan Stocks actor announced on Instagram yesterday that he will marry Sophie on November 2, 2024, sharing a cute picture of the two of them.
“We are going to be married in a year. He commented, “I’m excited to begin the rest of our lives together,” under the picture.
Many of his fans were quick to offer their congratulations, with one admirer writing: “Happy anniversary! That year will go by quickly, and you two will have a lifetime together as Mr. and Mrs.”
Another said, “Congratulations to you both, I hope you will be very happy xx,” while a third inquired as to if the couple’s wedding will have a “winter” theme.
The actor announced his engagement on social media earlier this year, posting a number of pictures of the pair having fun with their pet cat.
Moore debuted in the ITV soap opera in 2018 as Charity Dingle’s long-lost son. Since then, he has reconnected with his mother, gotten into a fight with Graham Foster, and co-owns The Woolpack with Charity, among other plot points.
More recently, Ryan learned that he is the father of a kid called Oscar with Gail Loman. This shocking revelation was made by his current girlfriend after she learned that Oscar had aplastic anaemia.
Earlier this year, Moore, who has cerebral palsy, spoke to Digital Spy about the importance of disability representation on screen.
“Disabled characters are few and far between, which is why I feel like there needs to be progress there,” he explained.
“Being a working actor can be a difficult career path, and adding a disability offers further restrictions. So, I admire every disabled actor who persevered, in and out of soap.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
