EastEnders ‘confirms’ Karen’s ending in key scene as Lorraine Stanley exits

As Lorraine Stanley’s departure from EastEnders draws near, a scene from this week’s episode appears to have revealed Karen Taylor’s route out.

Karen recently made the decision to work with Keanu (Danny Walters) in an attempt to destroy Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

The adored character intended to move from Walford to Abu Dhabi, which would have limited Keanu’s time with his son Albie.

Sharon was absolutely ecstatic when the young boy vanished. She sincerely hoped that Albie would come home, but she was unaware that Keanu was the real culprit behind Albie’s disappearance and had made up the kidnapping story to hide his botched attempt to get Albie out of the country.

Even though Keanu knew that Albie hadn’t been abducted at all, he insisted that Karen pick him up, saying that if she left, the police wouldn’t suspect anything.

Naturally, the true motivation behind his sending Karen was that she was aware of the scheme and understood that Albie was secure with her brother-in-law, Malcolm.

Albie was back at his house, so Sharon and Keanu had some time to think back on the previous few days.

Keanu declared his love for Sharon after she said that the experience had made her realize she needed to stay in Albert Square.

Yesterday, November 8, Keanu returned to Sharon and faced the wrath of his mother, who could not accept that her son’s partner was deeply in love with him.

Karen vented about relationships, love, and how Sharon would “rip [Keanu’s] eyes out” if she found out the truth about Albie’s kidnapping while she was seated outside the bar.

As this sequence unfolded, the camera panned to Keanu and Karen via the Square garden’s metal railings, also known as the bars.

Many are now wondering if this was intentional hinting at Karen’s impending departure.

Has this confirmed that she will be imprisoned for her role in kidnapping Albie?

To keep Sharon from learning that Keanu was also involved in the plan, will he allow his mother to be imprisoned?

In next episodes, Keanu and Sharon will have to help each other once more as they go to the hospital to find out what test results Albie recently had.
