Coronation Street and Hollyoaks star issues health update after being rushed to hospital

Star of Hollyoaks and Coronation Street Lucy-Jo Hudson is remaining optimistic despite her recent diagnosis.

The actress, widely known for her role as Hollyoaks’ Donna-Marie Quinn and for playing Katy Harris on Corrie, disclosed that she was sent to the hospital after requiring an urgent blood transfusion.

Lucy-Jo, 40, updated her Instagram followers by posting a mirror photo of herself with her exercise equipment and exercise journal.

“So just as I started getting into the gym last month.. I obviously wasn’t well,” the writer wrote. thus getting back into shape has taken some time. But now that I’m recovering, I truly wanted to take care of myself. ❥️💪🏻

“Fitness helps me so much with my mental health, and even though it hurts sometimes, I feel amazing after working out 💪🏻😂.”

“Has anyone else noticed that being accountable to someone helps motivate you?” she said in closing. I’ve come to the realization that I’m worthless on my own as I can always find an excuse to go to a warm, cozy coffee shop rather than the gym.

Following her debut in 2018, Lucy-Jo departed Hollyoaks, and Donna-Marie Quinn left after a lengthy run as the main character and other recurring roles.

She said to Metro.co.uk, when asked if we will see her again, “Never say never!”

“I mean, I’ve always loved Donna-Marie, and I really enjoyed playing the oppressed character with the pale face, dark eyes, greasy hair, and yellow teeth in a show where everyone is so glamorous.”

Additionally, in Coronation Street, 16-year-old Lucy-Jo’s character Katy became involved in a contentious relationship with a guy in his 40s named Martin Platt.

In a special ITV week, her storyline—dubbed “Killer Katy”—ended with her killing her father Tommy before ending her own life.

Following Lucy-Jo’s tweet, fans of the character were eager to express their opinions. One fan wrote: “I love watching classic Coronation Street, especially the drama with Katy.”

“I adored this era of Coronation Street.” Another person remarked, “I was completely hooked and in high school at the time.”
