In Coronation Street, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), whose goal of regaining her beloved bar seems a distant memory, receives further distressing news.

Jenny had no choice but to list the Rovers Return for sale after realizing she couldn’t keep the books balanced.

Following some back and forth between Newton and Ridley, the Waterfords purchased the boozer.

When the head of Waterfords arrived and said that their contracts had been terminated, Jenny and her crew received even worse news.

Jenny has spent a lot of time at Rita’s (Barbara Knox) apartment wondering what her future holds as someone other than the landlady of the neighborhood bar, because the majority of the crew is currently seeking for work elsewhere.

This week, Brian (Peter Gunn) informs Jenny that the Rovers are for sale and that a real estate developer intends to purchase and convert it into apartments.

Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) is ecstatic to hear that Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) has received a call from a friend who is a developer and would want them to supervise the conversion of the Rovers into flats, but Debbie (Sue Devaney) cautions him that he will have the entire street against him.

Later in the week, Ed is thanked by Paul (Peter Ash) for his work in the apartment, and he is promised payment as soon as his disability award is received.

Ed, who is bankrupt and battling an addiction to gambling, pretends not to be scared while telling him there’s no urgency.

In another scene, Glenda (Jodie Prenger) organizes the soldiers for a “Save the Rovers Campaign” as they witness Luke (the developer), Ed, and Ronnie leave the Rovers.

Jenny is devastated and feels that Ronnie has deceived her, since she believes the bar has been sold.

Will Ronnie, nevertheless, follow through on the deal?
