The Tate family can now move forward and exhale in relief as Craig’s (Ben Addis) death has been ruled an accident in Emmerdale.
Soon, the Home Farm halls will be filled with the loud sound of a baby, and Olivia Bromley’s character Dawn is determined to be ready.
Disregarding Billy’s (Jay Kontzle) disagreement with Aaron (Danny Miller), the pair becomes engrossed in the enjoyable chore of setting up the nursery.
However, when Kim tells them that the nursery will be done her way and that it’s her home, they become rather prickly.
However, Kim (Claire King) is interfering too much to bring the pair down; they are too happy together. Actually, Dawn has a very important request for her stepmother: she wants Kim to be her partner during childbirth.
Dawn obviously believes in Kim, even if Kim isn’t everyone’s first pick since she’s about as maternal as a bag of potatoes. And let’s be honest, who better than no-nonsense Kim to stand up for you during labor?
Now that choice has been made, Billy is more concerned about another aspect of Dawn’s birth plan because he has a persistent suspicion that she will give birth at home. Is this a hint that Dawn and her child may experience trouble in the future?
Not long after, Rhona (Zoe Henry) notices Dawn having pregnancy symptoms and quickly goes to get Dr. Liam. This leads to yet another drama. Is her labor starting early?
