Gillian Wright gives Lorraine Stanley a touching gift as she leaves EastEnders for good

As she gets about to depart the soap opera, EastEnders actor Gillian Wright stunned co-star Lorraine Stanley with the cutest present.

The 47-year-old Karen Taylor actress was said to be departing the BBC serial opera early this year, however it’s unclear exactly how that would happen.

In the last several days, 47-year-old actress Lorraine has been active on social media, answering questions from fans about the role and her present plot.

She did, however, take a moment to give the 63-year-old Jean Slater star a particular shout-out.

Lorraine shared a photo of herself wearing a woolly hat and winter clothes.

“I love my hat you made @therealgillianwright,” the woman wrote. It fits flawlessly and is really comfortable and toasty.

Lorraine used social media to vent her anguish at having to say goodbye when it was revealed that she would be leaving the programme.

She expressed her gratitude to the BBC for providing her with the chance to portray such a wonderful character and to [writer] Daran Little for inventing the Taylors.

“I will miss all of the EastEnders cast and crew and will be sad to be saying goodbye to Karen Taylor.”

Nevertheless, I’m eager to begin new projects and am looking forward to my next chapter as a working actor.

“Once more, your encouraging words have been wonderful!” I will miss my Baker/Taylor family. Roger Griffiths, Danny Walters, Matthew Morrison, and Clair Norris. Lots of love.

Actress Heather Peace of Eve Unwin was among her co-stars who hurried to the comments section to offer their condolences, writing: “We will miss you very much.” Cheers to many travels, my dear.

Denzel Danes actor Jaden Ladega stated, “We will miss you very much.”

The decision to write Karen out was made by EastEnders, according to Metro.co.uk, and her last scenes are scheduled to run later this year. Karen’s departure was revealed earlier this year.
