Dramatic EastEnders scenes featuring Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) signal her eventual return to Walford, but it soon becomes apparent that her life in Spain wasn’t as idyllic as she had previously claimed.

When we last saw Sam, she was rushing off to manage a hotel in the sun with the intention of saving money for her future grandchild, Sam’s son Ricky (Frankie Day), and she had promised to return for the birth.

Regretfully, Ricky was heartbroken upon the arrival of Charli, and his mother was absent.

However, Sam Mitchell has returned, and according to actress Kim Medcalf, her arrival is characterised by “typical Sam Mitchell chaos.”

She disclosed, “Sam is thrown out of the back of a van and collides with Phil.” She attempts to laugh it off, as she usually does, but it doesn’t take long for us to realise that she’s in serious trouble. Sam has taken the easy route, which is her usual tactic, and it has backfired on her.

Sam quickly asks her big brother Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) for assistance after it becomes clear that she owes a drug boss a large sum of money, much to the dismay of her wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).

Sam doesn’t have to wait long to run into drug lord Camillo again, who violently snatches her arm while Kat looks on, worried.

Kim clarified, “Sam is really scared and doesn’t know quite how to handle this—she’s totally out of her depth.” “Sam is very afraid because Camillo is a man not to be trifled with; there’s no bluffing this one out.”

Fortunately for Sam, Kat moves quickly, enlisting the aid of Phil and Billy (Perry Fenwick).

Fortunately for Sam, Kat moves quickly, enlisting the aid of Phil and Billy (Perry Fenwick).

She’s amazed at how quickly Phil and Billy show up and how quickly Kat turns around. That whole “blood is thicker than water” thing is the problem.

“In the end, Kat’s instinct is to protect Sam because there’s a guy there who is going to take her sister-in-law away.”

As Kim clarified, Sam doesn’t feel bad about dragging him into her mess, but Phil agrees to get Camillo his money because his sister is in grave danger.

I believe she is merely relieved. She regards her brother with such reverence and faith. Phil is all steel to Sam. She believes that despite how painful it is to pay out that much money, he doesn’t really care about this.

Sam wants to move on and not think about it after Camillo leaves. Sam doesn’t dwell on the past very often; that’s how she moves through life.

Will Camillo return for more, or will Sam be able to move on?
