Actor Todd Boyce of Coronation Street is excited for the New Year after landing a brand-new position.

Todd, 62, spent many years on and off the cobbles as Stephen Reid. He recently committed murder, which is when things took a dark turn.

Stephen then went on a killing spree to hide his tracks, which made him one of the most heinous killers on the Street ever.

After holding Jenny Connor hostage in the Rovers Return, Peter Barlow brought down Audrey Roberts’ son, Stephen. In dramatic scenes that aired last month, Peter used his taxi to bring the evil murderer to the ground.

After leaving the venerable ITV soap opera, Todd has now revealed to his devoted fan base his most recent role. He stated on Sunday in an Instagram post: “2024 is going to get off to a fantastic start thanks to this. And the Theatre Royal Windsor is the venue for the opening. #slyuth.

Additionally, he attached a poster featuring Todd and Neil McDermott, the star of EastEnders, on the bill for a brand-new play produced by the late Bill Kenwright’s company.

This dark psychological “thriller about thrillers” is what the play, in which Todd will play a well-known mystery writer, is called. Numerous awards, including the Tony Award for Best Play, have been bestowed upon the play.

Fans of Todd are obviously ecstatic for him, as seen by the number of them who have left well wishes in the comments section. Says Karen: “Whoa! Rachal commented, “All the best for a great run,” and Windsor Theatre responded, “You will be fabulous, well done, xxx.”

Lisa-Marie remarked: “Well done. I hope to be able to attend!”
