Jenny Connor heartbroken by Ronnie Bailey betrayal in Coronation Street

The future of the Rovers is finally revealed next week.

Jenny Connor, the former landlady of a pub, is fervently trying to restart the Rovers Return.

However, she is devastated to discover that Ronnie Bailey has intentions for the venerable Coronation Street pub.

Earlier this year, Jenny Connor (played by Sally Ann Matthews) started to worry about the business at the Rovers.

Regretfully, she was unable to prevent the pub’s eventual closure by a business known as Waterford’s.

Even worse, Jenny and her staff were permanently barred from the boozer and told to leave.

Since then, viewers have been afraid that the Rovers will never reopen, but Iain MacLeod, the head of the soap opera, has issued a warning that the pub will undoubtedly undergo changes.

In scenes that will air on ITV next week, Ronnie Bailey (played by Vinta Morgan) discloses that he received a call from a friend who is a property developer, asking him to supervise the Rovers’ transition into apartments.

Trevor Michael Georges’s character Ed Bailey is ecstatic, but Debbie Webster, played by Sue Devaney, cautions that the entire Street would oppose the construction project.

Jodie Prenger’s character Glenda Shuttleworth later organises a “Save the Rovers Campaign” and inspires the group when they witness Luke, Ed and Ronnie leave the pub.

Jenny is devastated to think that Ronnie deceived her, thinking the Rovers have been sold.

But is everything as it seems, really?

Will Jenny ever be able to save and reopen the Rovers with the help of Glenda and Sean Tully, her former employees?

Iain MacLeod, the head of the soap opera, disclosed to The Sun that the renowned pub would not remain closed indefinitely.

“It’s not going to stay closed for that long, in fact, it reopens on New Year’s Eve, I think” , he stated.

But there’s a huge surprise to come: “the interesting thing about it is the circumstances of it becoming open again are all tied up with Stephen’s legacy and somebody will do something that is at best naughty, at worst slightly criminal, to get their hands on the keys to the pub and reopen it.”

“Therefore, it will reopen, but it will do so on this loosely grounded, let’s say, criminal act foundation.”

Jenny is compelled to avoid her venue, but a recent photo that Cassie Plummer actress Claire Sweeney and her Dancing on Ice partner Colin Grafton posted online hinted that Jenny would soon be back behind the bar.

At the top of the pub door was Jenny Connor’s name, identifying her as the Rovers landlady.

But how is she going to regain her pub?

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:00 p.m. on ITV, Coronation Street airs.
