Star of EastEnders Jessie Wallace surprised fans by showcasing her recent transformation.
In her most recent selfie, the 52-year-old actress—best known for her role as Kat Slater—selected to go blonde.
Some admirers were here for the colour swap, while others wondered whether Jessie was experimenting with the “filters” in the shot.
“Looks great, I just watched a classic Eastenders episode and in one scene you asked zoe if you would suit blonde hair, and the answer is definitely yes xx,” said one commenter.
Another person said, “Ooh, I say yes, you look like a young Madonna xx.”
“ERM. WOW,” Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean) of EastEnders continued.
In the present plotline, Kat is lead to think that her ex-husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) has been given the all clear after it was determined that he suffers from prostate cancer. She is shocked to learn the reality, however.
Despite their turbulent pasts together, Kat and Alfie have always maintained a strong friendship.
Because of this, Alfie is slyly happy when Kat offers to go with him to the hospital for his first hormone shot.
Kat hasn’t been Alfie’s only friend during this trying time; Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has been there for him and won’t allow him undergo his prostatectomy on his alone.
Kat is unaware that Alfie is keeping a very important secret about her husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
Only a few days before his wedding, Phil slept with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) after a furious argument in which Kat chastised Phil for hiding Alfie’s illness risk from her.
Not too long after, Alfie learned the truth and struggled with whether or not to inform Kat. In the end, he decided against it, agreeing to keep his secret with Phil in exchange for Phil keeping his actual cancer findings a secret.
