Here are some spoilers for Tuesday’s (November 21) episode of Neighbours, which you can stream on Amazon Freevee right now.
According to soap opera law, there’s a good chance the character in question isn’t genuinely dead if viewers don’t see a body.
The most recent development in Neighbours provides more evidence of this.
Last week, Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden), star of the long-running soap opera, shocked viewers with her special flashback offerings by disclosing the true reasons behind her departure from Ramsay Street.
The well-known figure thought that, in a fit of rage, she had murdered Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis), who had been attempting to extract money from her.
Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Krista’s beau Eden Shaw (Costa D’Angelo), who consented to keep shtum in exchange for a large sum of money, helped her cover up the crime.
But little did he know that Krista was actually the sister of Reece (Mischa Barton)!
Reece was devastated to learn that her sister, who she had been looking for for weeks, had passed away when the truth suddenly and spectacularly came to light. Melanie, meanwhile, was placed under arrest and Paul was labelled the public enemy number one.
While all of this was going on, Eden was in the wind because Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong Hall) was determined to find Eden and hold him accountable for the mayhem he had caused.
Following an epiphany, Holly teamed up with Haz Devkar (Shiv Palekar) to identify possible hiding places for Eden. Their ultimate choice turned out to be the schemer’s lair.
Eden fled, but Andrew Rodwell (Lloyd Will) and the other boys in blue were able to catch him after Holly and Haz trapped him in his van.
However, Holly discovered that Eden was carrying Krista’s cardigan as he was taken away by the police. Holly ventured into doors, daring to hope that Krista might still be alive. To her surprise, she discovered the woman alive, albeit obviously in need of medical attention.
You did indeed read that right. Krista is doing well!
The next episode preview shows Melanie beaming with relief that she didn’t kill anyone, while Reece is distraught and longs to talk to her sister. Will she, however, at last meet her cherished sibling after all this time?
