The courageous Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) has adopted the mistreated dog into the Corrie family after saving it from a violent thug named Terry.
At number nine, Hope and Ruby argue about it and declare that they are going to name her Taylor in honour of Taylor Swift.
Although Evelyn makes her grandchildren happy, her courageous deeds come back to haunt her.
In the precinct, Terry confronts Evelyn, but she claims not to be aware of his dog.
When Evelyn discovers Cassie taking Taylor for a stroll, she is appalled and pulls them back inside.
Terry, who is watching from across the street, is unaware of them. After tracking Evelyn to the store, Terry flips the sign to “closed” and rushes out the door.
Terry approaches Evelyn with a menacing demeanour, demanding to know what she has done with his dog. Will Gary be able to assist Dev in breaking through the locked door before it locks?
Evelyn is far from safe, even though Taylor might be.
