Later this month, Aaron Dingle of Emmerdale will persist in his unscrupulous actions as he devises a scheme to degrade Ethan Anderson.
Aaron pursues Ethan in an attempt to avenge himself for the interference of the local vicar, Charles Anderson, in his conflict with his mother, Chas.
Charles will be watching with disapproval in the upcoming episodes as Aaron treats Chas openly and disrespectfully at The Woolpack.
Charles tries to get her to open up by pulling her aside out of concern for Chas.
Chas admits how alone she has felt since parting ways with Paddy and the impact Aaron’s cruel actions are having on her.
Later, Charles intervenes and tells Aaron to be respectful of his mother after he sees Aaron and Chas getting into another fight.
Charles is provoked by Aaron, and there is a brawl at the bar. Chas is relieved to have someone on her side at last, even though Charles apologises to her for possibly making things worse.
Aaron, meanwhile, adopts a new strategy by pretending to be infatuated with Ethan, Charles’ son.
Ethan is enamoured with Aaron, but Aaron suddenly loses his temper and makes fun of Ethan in front of his father. Aaron was obviously just using Ethan to further his small-time grudge.
When Chas realises she can stand it no longer, she confronts Aaron about his disgusting actions. Chas’s next move surprises Aaron because she is no longer willing to put up with any nonsense.
These scenes will be aired on Emmerdale starting on Monday, December 18.
