ITV Emmerdale’s Dawn Taylor ‘scared’ Billy’s returning to prison after incident

Exclusive: Dawn Taylor and Billy Fletcher of Emmerdale are expecting a child on the ITV soap opera, but will everything go according to schedule for the married pair?

Olivia Bromley’s character Dawn Taylor worries that her husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) will return to prison in upcoming Emmerdale scenes.

Speaking with Express.co.uk and other media about the Christmas storylines that will be featured in the soap opera, Olivia clarified that Billy was incarcerated after taking part in a group assault on a former drug dealer.

In light of Billy and Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) recent physical altercation, Dawn is worried that something may go wrong with their first biological child together.

Olivia revealed: “This family unit is something we’re seeing, but it’s not something you see very often because tragedies seem to happen every time. Therefore, everything is excellent right now.”

Dawn, a former drug user, is determined to give birth naturally out of fear of relapsing. She has abstained from medication during her pregnancy.

Olivia expressed Dawn’s concern about what lay ahead by saying, “So Billy’s past has been in jail… That is her transformation from 0 to 100. However, the moment he gets into a fight, she says, “That’s it, you’re going back to jail.”

Olivia disclosed that Dawn, who endured a difficult life filled with prostitution, addiction, and heartache, “is always scared” that any violence associated with her will result in the removal of her children by social services.

“That’s a really interesting psychological way to play a character because I guess there’s always drama in jeopardy,” Olivia said.

Dawn, though, is constantly attempting to hold onto what she already has. And the main concern, I believe, when Billy gets into these fights and stuff, is that there have been a lot of occasions where the police could have intervened or he could really end up back in trouble.

“She just doesn’t want to lose him, but I don’t think she has any worries about how he’ll be as a dad because I think she just knows that he’s such a fab dad to Lucas and Clemmie.”

Lucas Taylor (Dexter Ansell) and Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison) are shared by the Emmerdale couple.

Billy’s brief romance with Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu), a serial killer, ended before he and Dawn were married in the village last year.

The murderer developed an obsession with Billy and made it obvious that she detested and envied Dawn.

Despite some difficulties in their relationship, Dawn is expected to give birth any moment now, and the couple seems to have a bright future together.
