Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ reason behind Lydia Dingle’s drastic behaviour

Fans of Emmerdale are aware that Lydia Dingle is still traumatised following her rape by the deceased Craig Reed.

Fans believe Lydia Dingle, played by Karen Blick in Emmerdale, is hiding something after Thursday’s episode of the ITV soap opera, despite her understandable struggles in the wake of recent events.

A few months prior, Lydia was raped by the malevolent Craig Reed (Ben Addis) and suffered for weeks afterward. The Dingles retaliated after Lydia eventually told her family, and before long, Craig was dead.

When the police finally discovered that a horse had killed Craig, Lydia was still incensed because she believed her husband Sam Dingle (James Hooton) had also severely beaten Craig.

Lydia avoided her family once more in Thursday’s episode, even claiming she would spend Christmas somewhere else. She yelled angrily and exploded at her boss Kim Tate (Claire King).

Since Kim is aware of Lydia’s difficulties, she consoled her and accompanied her on their walk home when Lydia started crying.

After that, Lydia was given a drink by Kim, who also said to her, “It’s okay to get angry sometimes—I find it very cathartic.”

“It’s like nobody knows how to be around me anymore, everyone’s tiptoeing around, worried in case they say the wrong thing,” Lydia said.

“Even Sam’s scared about celebrating Christmas in case it upsets me.”

Lydia continued, “She says that I need to accept what’s happened, and I’m trying – I am it’s just…” in reference to her talks with her counsellor.

Kim questioned as she broke off and turned her head: “What?”

“Well, it goes beyond what occurred to me, does it? It also has to do with Craig’s experience. What was done by Sam.

Choosing to be honest with Lydia, Kim acknowledged that she was present when Craig passed away.

She clarified that after being beaten up, he had asked her to take him to the hospital, but she had declined.

Then he attacked her as she was riding her horse, and in reaction to the danger, the horse knocked him down, leaving her for dead.

Fans are convinced Lydia is hiding something else, but she flipped out and threw Kim out of her house.

Many speculated that X might be pregnant after taking her.
