On their 18th wedding anniversary, Robert Beck, a former Emmerdale actor, sent the cutest homage to his wife, Jane Danson, an actress from Coronation Street, and it made us all cry.
The 45-year-old Leanne Battersby actress grinned broadly with her spouse in the endearing old photo.
In the photo, Jane looks stunning in her white gown, while Robert looks dashing in a black tuxedo.
Writer Robert wrote on Instagram: ’18 years of marriage to the ancient ball and chain… I’m grateful, @realjanedanson. This has been quite pleasant. x
Jane answered, “Ball and chain 🤣good job I love ya! ❤️,” clearly feeling the love.
Celebrity pals of the pair expressed their love in response to the affectionate post. Corrie actress Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor, wrote: “Remember that day like it was yesterday.. happy anniversary you beauties.”
“Happy anniversary, guys!” wrote former Corrie actor Catherine Tyldesley, who portrayed Jane’s on-screen sister Eva Price. Huge affection xxx.
In 1999, Jane and Robert first connected at the British Soap Awards.
The 55-year-old has been a familiar figure on television since the 1990s, when he first gained notoriety in the Channel 4 serial opera Brookside, where he starred from 1991 to 1993 as Peter Harrison.
Other noteworthy roles he has had include the 1999 role of Gavin Ferris in Emmerdale and the comedy The Upper Hand.
Robert, like his spouse, has made appearances in Coronation Street as crook Jimmy Dockerson. He also portrayed Fergus Collins in Hollyoaks from March to November 2021, when Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) killed the character.
In December 2005, the soap couple tied the knot at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Lancashire.
