14 huge Coronation Street spoilers for next week

Ed’s gambling demons will be making threats to ruin the Baileys’ Christmas on Coronation Street next week, while Daisy will be taking drastic measures to save The Rovers.

Carla notices how much Peter is struggling in the meanwhile.

1. Ed’s money problems worsen

Ed, who is in a desperate attempt to repay his payday loan, wagers the money he got from Sarge for Christmas dinner on a horse.

The Baileys decide to make Glory’s Christmas particularly memorable after learning that Aggie won’t be returning home for the holiday.

Ed is relieved to finally have Paul pay him and expects that this will finally get Tony off his back, but Ed is back where he started when Sarge thinks the money is for him.

2. Ed is threatened by Tony

Tony notices Ed using Ronnie’s money to pay for drinks when he treats the family to dinner at the Bistro. Presuming Ed is using his own funds, Tony expresses his desire to get payment before tomorrow.

Ed, who is under increasing strain, plans his getaway and intends to spend Christmas with Aggie in Birmingham. However, he is taken aback when Tony storms into the house.

Tony attacks Ed for trying to take his phone after threatening to tell Aggie about Ed’s gambling troubles.

3. Ed is interviewed by the police

Michael displays the watch he got Ed for Christmas to Ronnie and Sarge, unaware that Ed has been attacked. The family is startled to discover Ed has a wounded lip and that the Christmas gifts are gone when they get home.

Ed pretends to Craig that the family has been the victim of a break-in and that he neglected to lock the back door as Dee-Dee phones the police.

4. Audrey refuses to help Carla and Jenny

Jenny and Carla begin to believe that Stephen’s notebook may contain the password needed to open a mystery file on his laptop, but Audrey shoots them down and won’t give it to them.

Daisy begs Jenny to persevere since she might be able to use the file to recover Stephen’s pilfered money and use it to repurchase The Rovers.

5. Daisy and Jenny try to save The Rovers

Daisy seizes the opportunity to steal David’s keys when she sees the Platt family gathered at the Bistro.

At Number 8, she looks through Stephen’s journal right before Audrey shows up out of the blue.

Jenny, in the meantime, attempts a different strategy to get the funds and asks Carla for a loan so that she can qualify for The Rovers’ mortgage.

6. Jenny makes a play for The Rovers

In an attempt to obtain the loan for the pub, Jenny and Daisy go to a meeting with the bank.

Afterwards, they inform Brian and Mary that the meeting went well and that the loan has been approved by the bank.

Jenny’s plans come to an abrupt stop when she finds out that Waterfords have received an additional offer, meaning that a sealed bid will be used to make the selection.

7. Peter confides in Tim

Peter confides in Tim that he can’t stop worrying about Stephen’s passing after getting a letter from the hospital.

Willing to assist, Tim offers a pleasant diversion by inviting Peter to Number 4 to enjoy the hot tub and advises him to concentrate on the positive aspects of life.

8. Tim gives Peter some relationship advice

Tim encourages Peter to stick with Carla when he discloses that their relationship is damaged as a result of her factory fixation.

Later on, Peter is happy that Carla plans a romantic dinner for the two of them, but their evening is marred when Carla has to leave to attend to the factory alarm.

9. Carla is suspicious of Peter

When Peter declines her invitation to lunch, Carla gets suspicious that he is up to no good. Later, she is shocked to see Peter cleaning the flat.

When Peter admits that he has made plans to meet Valerie, the mother of his liver donor, Carla is taken aback, but she also vows to support him.

Peter confesses to Valerie that he suffers from alcoholism. What will she say?

10. Carla is shocked by Peter’s confession

Carla agrees to meet with Peter for a support group, but she is shocked to learn that Peter has lost all interest in life and that he feels like a chore every day.

Carla is distressed to learn about Peter’s recent low points and arranges a surprise Christmas present in an attempt to lift his spirits.

11. Ryan leaves with Crystal

Ryan decides to go with Crystal, and he informs Debbie that they will be relocating to Scotland.

Carla and Debbie said goodbye to Ryan later that week. Daisy observes with sadness as Ryan departs for Glasgow.

12. Cassie plans a Christmas gift for Evelyn

Tyrone agrees to take the children to see Fiz in Norfolk at Evelyn’s request, but he is aware that Cassie will be spending Christmas alone. Evelyn extends an olive branch to Cassie and asks her to spend Christmas with her at Roy’s.

Cassie suggests the perfect Christmas present that Roy ought to get Evelyn in order to make her day even more wonderful.

Cassie offers to go shopping with Roy after he finds the gift, but they run into problems when his car won’t start.

13. Audrey chooses the salon’s new boss

Sam and Lily try to defuse the Platt household’s emotions, but their scheme swiftly backfires, forcing Audrey to make another choice about the salon.

Audrey conducts interviews with David and Maria later in the week to fill the role. Although Audrey is pleased with Maria’s plans for the salon, she becomes irate when David shows no interest in giving him a real interview.

14. Gemma struggles without her kids

Gemma and Paul travel to Victoria Garden to see Joseph perform, but they are unable to attend the entire show when Paul’s wheelchair breaks down on the street. Glenda suggests that Joseph give Gemma an encore performance to lift her spirits.

Gemma is devastated that Joseph and the quads must depart so quickly when Chesney shows up to pick them up.
