As the major Christmas episodes of EastEnders get near, the drama in Walford is not abating.
The upcoming episodes will include a failing marriage and Suki Panesar’s (Balvinder Sopal) ongoing grief over Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
Although Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) have been getting closer lately, there are other factors at play as well, such as Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) relationship appearing to be shaky.
A desperate attempt is made by the two to turn things around, but tragedy strikes and hearts are destroyed.
It’s going to be the start of some really exciting things.
Suki is worried about the worst since Eve is still gone, but an intriguing development occurs.
Suki is willing to hold Nish (Navin Chowdhry) accountable for his actions, even though he still poses a significant threat.
Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), another violent local, makes Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) even more hopeless with his presence in Albert Square.
And he had a stunning insight after hearing some unpleasant news.
Monday December 18
At number 27, Jack becomes aware of his mistake and snaps at Amy and Ricky. Upon encountering the miserable couple in the Square, Denise makes her way to No. 20 to defend her marriage.
Raymond interrupts, so Denise reluctantly returns to No. 27 to carry on their talk.
The market vendors are merry for Christmas, but without Lola, Billy isn’t feeling festive. In an attempt to lift Billy’s spirits, Honey sets up an illicit pitch and then says she will ignore it if Alfie teams up with Billy.
When Eve gives Stacey flowers at the bap van, she is shocked, but Suki is certain they are not from Eve.
Suki is shocked to discover, following some research on Nish’s laptop, that he sent the flowers, indicating that he must be aware of her extramarital affair.
Suki goes to No. 31 and tells Stacey everything since they are both concerned about Eve’s security. Suki prepares her retaliation out of fear.
Wednesday December 20
Suki follows through on her plan, asking Vinny to spend the evening away from her so she can spend some quality time with Nish alone.
While Suki is cooking their dinner, Stacey interrupts her and attempts to talk her out of doing anything foolish. Nish gets home as Stacey leaves.
Shaken by her revelation, Denise goes to No. 20, where Kim informs her that their marriage is ended and she needs to file for divorce from Jack.
Concurrently, Jack notifies a shocked Stacey that Nish and Ravi have been taken into custody for the homicide of Eve.
Sales for Billy and Alfie are a huge success. In another scene, Keanu and Sharon go to The Vic to celebrate adding Keanu’s name to Albie’s birth certificate at last.
When the hospital calls Dean regarding Jade’s transplant, he is taken aback. Gina gives him her congrats.
Thursday December 21
When Denise chooses to break her marriage for good, she packs up to go, but Amy, who is terrified, stops her and runs from No. 27.
Before Jack and Denise see Amy sobbing in the playground, they look around anxiously for her. Denise is forbidden from leaving the family home by Jack, who holds Denise responsible for Amy’s current mental state.
When Sharon and Linda go to pick up her ideal wedding gown, Tommy unintentionally tosses it into the street back in the Square.
Sharon believes that The Vic is a sign that she should call off the wedding, but she decides to go ahead after hearing some encouraging words from Linda and getting a new outfit from Kathy.
When Jade’s transplant is postponed, Dean drowns his sorrows and finds solace in reflection following a discussion on forgiveness with Rocky.
Friday December 22
Denise rejects Jack’s attempts at reconciliation, telling him he cannot forgive him for exploiting Amy’s mental illness as a means of blackmail.
When Stacey tries to get involved in Jack’s relationship problems, things just get worse.
Kim starts to lose her voice during the Walford carol concert, but Howie steps up after Patrick gives her some support.
Trying to stifle their inner agony, Suki, Denise, Kathy, Linda, Stacey, and Sharon all look on.
Elaine and Sharon give Linda consolation.
After some encouraging words, Honey plays a recorded message from Lola to Jay, who is taken aback by what he hears.
