Her fiercest adversary Aaron Dingle was the one to assist her during her contractions until Billy showed there and whisked her home, where she was met by Will, Kim, and the midwife, who had begun setting up the birthing pool.

Fortunately, everything went according to plan, and Dawn gave birth to Evan, a healthy boy. They exchanged I love yous and were eager to begin their newest chapter together as the new parents cradled their infant in their arms.

Fans of the ITV soap opera, however, couldn’t help but notice a major gaffe while watching. “A baby born with NO umbilical cord, only in Emmerdale!!! #Emmerdale,” one tweeted, and a second added: “Fastest birth I’ve ever seen by Dawn – almost heard the ‘pop’ – no umbilical cord either, apparently the NHS is now phasing them out #Emmerdale.”

One more said, “Come on, #emmerdale.” A fourth person commented, “Baby got no umbilical cord #emmerdale. A baby born without an umbilical cord is ridiculous.” A fifth person commented: “A Christmas miracle—a baby delivered without a chord! #emmerdale.

The Mirror and other media outlets were previously informed by Dawn actress Olivia about Dawn’s feelings leading up to her birth.

“Birth is associated with significant trauma in soap operas. Thus, it’s intriguing to observe one that was successful. Dawn doesn’t recall much about her early years as a mother because she was so addicted at the time, therefore I believe her anxiety just gets particularly bad around the type of medicine around her birth. Furthermore, to have a small child taken away from you. I believe that’s surrounded by a lot of trauma. She also panics a lot, as you can see. She panics like Clemmie right away,” she remarked.
