Actor Daniel Brocklebank of Coronation Street has expressed to his followers that he feels’very loved’ after the attendance of both previous and current soap opera stars at his birthday party. The cast of Corrie, including Tony Maudsley as undertaker George Shuttleworth, Catherine Tyldesley as Eva Price, and Daniel’s co-star Peter Ash as Paul Foreman, were there.

Daniel, who plays Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap opera, posted a series of photos from the small dinner party on Instagram along with a note that read, “Beautiful birthday shenanigans…I feel very loved! I really appreciate your support, everyone.”

This year, when the character married her partner Paul, portrayed by Peter Ash, ITV soap opera viewers were ecstatic. However, it’s no secret that the newlyweds will face difficult times in the future.

Paul received the heartbreaking news that he had motor neurone disease, a brain and spinal cord ailment that is deadly and advances quickly. It has been announced that Paul will be spending his last Christmas this year, as viewers have been following the tearjerker plot for months.

While there have already been tough scenes and more to come as Paul’s condition worsens, Dan, the soap star, is actually well-versed in MND because his grandfather was diagnosed with the condition prior to his death. As a result, he has been making every effort to raise money and awareness for the MND Association.

Dan appealed to his Instagram followers on the platform. In addition to sharing a picture of himself and Peter from the time they were shooting Billy and Paul’s church wedding, the 43-year-old established an MND Association campaign that accepts donations.

“The wonderful Peter Ash and I are currently playing out an MND storyline,” he said. To help discover a solution for this terrible illness, the MND Association does amazing work and heavily depends on funding. I have great affection for this organisation since my grandpa tragically died from motor neuron disease.

“I have worked with the MND Association for many years, and in all that time, I have never encountered a more lovely, passionate, and powerful group of individuals. Please provide a hand if you can. I’m grateful.

And soon long, the comments area was flooded with kind and encouraging words. @wendi.donaldson posted: “Every time you two are on, I can’t stop weeping! Such a gripping plot on an emotional level. You two are fantastic.”
