The latest episode of the show showed more of Mack’s kidnapping, leading to fans criticising the ‘festive’ plotlines
Emmerdale viewers have taken issue with the show’s Christmas-themed plots.
More of Mack’s abduction was seen in the most recent episode, which made Chloe feel bad for him. She ultimately made the decision to assist him in getting away, only to have him apprehended again.
Caleb’s romance with Tracey is one of the episode’s other plotlines. Many viewers felt that it was a little violent and depressing to suggest that Christmas was approaching.
“So on Christmas Day, will Mack, Caleb and Tracy, Rhona, Gus, Marlon, and Baby IVF still be held captive?” asked @itzzzo_. I hope you too, Emmerdale, have a holly jolly horrible Christmas.” Concurrently, @Surfingspaniel said, “This is going to be such a happy Christmas Day episode.”
@avc1878 posted: “Merry Christmas to all in happy land” at the same moment. Then, @InkySparkles remarked, “What’s up with Emmerdale’s scriptwriters? This Mackenzie plot really bothers me for Christmas, and I don’t think it’s appropriate for young viewers.”
“With these storylines, is it any wonder the villagers are day drinking?” said @Frances86761484.
