Coronation Street spoilers: Carla receives a surprise visitor after major exit

A surprise visit from her nephew Bobby (Jack Carroll) the day after her beloved Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) departs leaves Carla Connor (Alison King) stunned.

The highlight of the Boxing Day special was Carla and Peter’s time spent together in Weatherfield. The pair thought back on their turbulent relationship as they savoured their last dinner and realised that, even though they would always love each other, it might be best for them to break up.

But Carla’s loneliness didn’t last long since in tonight’s episode, she meets up with her “long lost relative.” An unknown relative she was unaware of.

When Bobby says he’s the son of Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis), Carla is taken aback.

Rob, Carla’s brother, is incarcerated for life in prison after killing Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).

Bobby can stay for a few weeks, Carla says, but only if he abides by her rules.

Actress Alison King stated, “What Bobby entering this scenario does is snap her out of going into the doldrums and going all reflective.”

She is attempting to be very direct when she says, “You know, I’ve done this, I’ve made this decision, and I’ve assisted Peter in making this decision to leave along the way.”

However, she doesn’t want to be around people who are cautious around her in the workplace; it was going to be difficult. Bobby’s arrival has sort of shocked her out of that because he’s so much trouble.

He causing some minor chaos and her needing to assist him in many ways prevent her from indulging in herself. That has been incredible.

Jack became well-known at the age of 14 after participating in Britain’s Got Talent’s seventh season. After finishing second in the competition, comedian Jack went on to perform in live shows across the country, including Jason Manford’s Funny Old Week, Live at the Apollo, and Saturday Night at the London Palladium.

In addition, he has written and featured in his own comic short film, Mobility, and has appeared in Doctors on CBBC.

“I’m delighted and honoured to be playing a part in the history of the cultural institution that is Coronation Street,” Jack stated in reference to his onscreen debut. I hope Bobby makes a lot of people laugh, in the style of some of the iconic comedic figures from the street.
