Emmerdale airs explosive Christmas exit for Chloe Harris after death rocks village

In Emmerdale, the holidays were anything but peaceful as secrets and lies ultimately came to light, resulting in a departure and a death.

Tonight marked the resolution of Emmerdale’s tumultuous romantic triangle between Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), and Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland). Tragic events followed after Chloe was mistreated by her father Harry (Robert Beck), who held Mackenzie captive in order to exact revenge.

After playing Chloe for two years, Jessie was fired as a result of the episode’s events. While Charity was trying to save Mack, she unintentionally shot Harry, killing him.

Chloe made an agreement with Charity to not report her to the police in exchange for being allowed to take her baby, Mack’s son Reuben, and go. As Chloe and Reuben permanently left, he was forced to say a final, painful goodbye to his son, bringing an end to one of the most tragic love triangles in the history of the Dales.

She didn’t mention the father’s name when she originally made her pregnancy public. But as time went on, it became clear that she and Mack were only together for one night, and the child was the outcome.

Charity was devastated by the lie. When she learned that the baby’s middle name was Mack’s surname, confirming his paternity, she became even more distraught.

Chloe had turmoil every month of her 24 months in Emmerdale, aside from the love triangle.

Before the recent events, she found out that Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) was her biological mother, that her ex had hounded her, and that she had been in a terrifying clifftop vehicle disaster that left her unconscious.

Jessie Elland commented, “I’ve had the best two years of my life playing Chloe and being a part of Emmerdale,” in reference to her time on the programme.

“Being outside the Woolpack in the village or passing through the stage door at the studios never grew any less weird throughout those two years.

“I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been granted this chance and to have been entrusted with such amazing narratives.

“I truly accomplished a lot, including giving birth, meeting new family members, pulling off a major prank, getting slapped, and even pulling off a great back-of-the-taxi departure!

“All while working with, and learning from, incredibly talented people that I’d grown up watching on screen.”
