Damon “Harry” Harris (Robert Beck), who was unintentionally shot by Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) during a fight earlier this week, has been officially certified dead by Emmerdale.

As fans are aware, Damon abducted and subjected Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) to severe torture in an attempt to get revenge on him for his decision to be with Charity rather than Chloe (Jessie Elland).

But Chloe was horrified by her father’s brutality and tried to liberate Mack. But, Damon caught wind of what she had done and chastised her, taking her back to the isolated warehouse where he planned to kill Mack permanently while Chloe watched.

He had no idea, however, that Charity had followed the gunman to the warehouse after seeing him in the village with Chloe. There, she had seen the startling confrontation between Mack and Damon, as the former pulled a revolver from his pocket and pointed it at the latter.

Determined to keep her beloved Mackenzie safe, Charity stepped in and took the pistol. Damon then attempted to take the weapon away from Charity, which led to a fight.

But then someone fired a shot, and Damon went down.

The ITV soap opera’s Boxing Day offering revealed the character’s terrible demise, with Mackenzie stating that he is dead.

But Chloe took drastic measures, threatening to report Charity to the police if Mack wouldn’t allow her to leave the community with Reuben in tow.

Despite his deep sadness, Mack consented, not wanting Charity to go to jail as a result of Chloe’s deception.

In heartbreaking circumstances, Mack said his darling boy farewell one more time before Chloe got into a cab and permanently departed the community.

With Damon’s passing, however, Robert Beck’s second spell on the ITV serial opera comes to an end. In the late nineties, the actor portrayed Bernice Blackstock’s lover Gavin.
