Coronation Street’s Jack Carroll has teased what to expect from his character Bobby as the newcomer made his cobbles debut on Wednesday’s episode
On Wednesday night, Coronation Street was filled with dramatic events as Carla Connor discovered she had a hidden nephew when Jack Carroll’s Bobby made an appearance on the cobblestones.
Bobby said that he is the child of Rob Donovan, her murderous brother. Bobby appeared and revealed that they are related, just as Carla was processing her sadness after her breakup with Peter Barlow, who departed the soap opera on Boxing Day. After Bobby finished his sob tale, his father contacted his sister Carla to let her know the truth.
Carla said he might remain with her for a few weeks, but in later scenes, she knows he could stay when Bobby’s mother’s delivery vehicle dumps his belongings on the street. A little irritated, Carla decides she can’t leave him without a place to stay, so her stepson Simon Barlow offers his room. However, Bobby quickly starts to cause problems, which makes Carla unhappy.
Pride of Britain winner and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jack, 24, teased what viewers of soap operas may anticipate from his character by saying to the Mirror and other press, “I’m in the factory.” Fortunately, I haven’t modelled any of the products yet; who knows what they may have planned! I’m at the factory, and Carla was able to get me a job there, so I’m also causing a lot of commotion there. That has thus been a lot of pleasure.”
“He’s got his eye on somebody, I don’t really think I’m allowed to say who that is yet; but it’s definitely something I think we’ve got planned for the future,” Jack hinted to a potential romantic relationship for his character. That will be entertaining as well since it’s simply another facet of his chaotic conduct that can be played with.”
Bobby said, “I only found out yesterday the kind of nuts and bolts of what the story is, and it’s very, very exciting.” Bobby will also be involved in a significant plot for 2024. I may even claim that it’s a smash.”I had barely been there for a week or two when I learned that I would be a part of this enormous plot, so there’s always a little amount of anxiety.
“But I think after that dissipates a little bit, then you’re just very excited to get stuck in, and that’s where I’m at now, I just can’t wait to get working and expand on the character, and see what craziness they put me in.”
