Unaware of the tragic request Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) has for her, Abi Webster (Sally Carman) stops by Coronation Street to see him shortly.
Paul had a really tough day this week on the ITV soap opera since his motor neurone illness was becoming worse.
Paul tried to get into his wheelchair so he could use the restroom since his helper Moses was running late for his shift.
Sadly, a tense Paul ended himself collapsing, and seconds later Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) discovered his buddy unconscious on the ground.
Paul asked Todd (Gareth Pierce) over that night to discuss the circumstances.
Todd attempted to explain to his buddy that he was simply having a rough day and wasn’t feeling well, but Paul said it was an indication that the “end game” had started.
The talk then shifted to Paul making his “own choices,” with another allusion to assisted suicide.

In future episodes, Todd will decline to assist Paul in carrying out his scheme. While acknowledging that it’s unreasonable, Paul continues by expressing his fear of being held captive within his own body.
Todd brings Paul to visit Doctor Gaddas because he still wants to assist his buddy, but she won’t give him a morphine prescription.
Later, at the bar, Abi empathizes with Paul when she hears him lamenting to Todd about not being able to have his prescription filled.

Paul emphasizes the fact of MND at the beginning of their chat. He claims that he may not be able to regain full use of his other hand and that he could wake up tomorrow realizing this.
Paul explains to Abi that someday the MND would prevent him from breathing on his own as a fascinated Todd brews the tea in the background.
When Abi asks if she can assist in any way, Paul asks her to get him some medications, which he plans to use to end his life.
Paul is informed by Abi, a recovered drug addict, that she no longer engages in such activities and has no connections.
An extremely desperate Will Abi decide to reconsider when Paul gives her some time to consider it?
In order to assist Paul, would she jeopardize her fulfilling life with Kevin (Michael Le Vell)?
