Fans of Lucy Fallon’s character, Bethany Platt, are starting to question if she is returning to Weatherfield with a hidden agenda despite her brief return to Coronation Street.
Bethany reconnected with her ex Daniel (Rob Mallard) shortly after returning home, and the two have been enjoying what she refers to as a “situationship.” Daniel is obviously loving being with Bethany again, even if it’s causing issues for Daisy (Charlotte Jordan), who was previously hurt and envious. But how long could the bliss last?
This week’s episode of the ITV soap opera saw Bethany talking on the phone with an unidentified person. She begged the person on the phone to give her another opportunity after admitting to them that she had concealed her number.
Although Bethany’s specific circumstances and reason for returning to the cobbles are unknown at this time, it is possible that she is connected to Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), who also returned lately.
In order to get vengeance on Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), Damon returned to Weatherfield. During his captivity of the solicitor, Damon visited Sarah and learned that she had miscarried their child.
Heartbroken, the criminal eventually let Adam go when he saw him later because something he said about Sarah and Harry hurt him.
Sarah has every reason to be wary considering how their previous encounter ended, even if Damon is committed to making positive changes in his behavior.
However, is he sincere this time, or may Damon be up to no good again?
Could Damon be poised to have another romance, this time with mother and daughter, if he met Bethany while in London?
Regarding Bethany’s homecoming, Tina O’Brien said, “Sarah knows Bethany well enough, she knows that there’s probably going to be drama following very closely behind her.”
It’s apparent that working with Lucy has been a pleasure for me personally. And the reason it’s so intriguing is that from the very first things we did together, we felt so at ease and naturally adapted to our fast-paced conversational style.
Tina thinks Lucy’s comeback has a lot of promise. “I believe there are a ton of tales that could be told about Bethany, including her time abroad. She’s matured and started a new career.
She is likely returning to the Daniel (Rob Mallard) problem with a somewhat more levelheaded attitude. Additionally, she may not be open to accepting some of the things she formerly did.
