Moira actress Natalie J Robb first joined Emmerdale back in 2009
Fans of Emmerdale are wondering “how” and raising concerns about Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira Dingle, and one of her co-stars.
The actress first appeared in the popular ITV soap opera as Moira Barton, and she has been a part of it for about 15 years. Back in 2009, she and her family relocated to Butlers Farm.
Fans of Emmerdale have grown to love Moira ever since. In 2020, Mackenzie Boyd, her long-lost younger brother, made an appearance on the soap opera.
When he arrived at the town, their mother had just received the news that she was dying and had requested him to find Moira so they could make apologies. Charity Dingle drew him in right away, and they eventually got married.
Fans of soap operas also like Mackenzie, and many of them believe that there are more parallels than not. Actor Lawrence Robb plays Mackenzie. Since the two actors are of Scottish descent and have the same last name, an Emmerdale fan posted a notion on Facebook.
“I’m really not convinced these two aren’t related in real life,” the lady said. Another fan of the soap opera said, “It’s unbelievable they’re not linked. They have the same last name, look, and sound identical!”
A third person said, “How these two are not related is beyond me, are we definitely sure?”
It’s true that Lawrence and Natalie are unrelated. When he was cast as Mackenzie, that’s when they initially got together.
Weekdays at 7.30 p.m., Emmerdale airs on ITV and ITVX.
