ITV Coronation Street fans slam Asha’s near-fatal mistake as she leaves brother Aadi to die

Coronation Street’s Aadi Alahan nearly died in the latest episode of the ITV soap, not helped by his twin sister Asha who failed to realise he was unconscious

Aadi Alahan of Coronation Street nearly passed away in the most recent episode because his twin sister was unaware that he required immediate medical attention.

Following his kiss with Asha’s girlfriend Nina Lucas, the character had a falling out with her sister Asha. She was left feeling upset when the couple came clean to her, feeling bad about their moment of insanity.

Asha made the decision to permanently shut her brother out of her life as she began to doubt their connection. However, she came dangerously close to losing him when her brother needed immediate medical attention and Asha, a trainee paramedic, accidentally let him die.

Aadi nearly died during a medical emergency, but even though she discovered her brother struggling and barely aware, she misinterpreted the situation and mistakenly left him to die. His friend and potential love interest Amy Barlow was worried and called in the alarm, which is the sole reason he survived his near-death experience.

Following a quick trip to the hospital, it was determined that Aadi had carbon monoxide poisoning. After his alarm went off and failed to warn him of the danger he was in, an unknown leak had left him struggling for his life.

This week, he began to exhibit indications of exhaustion and disengagement, and his family was devastated. However, Asha was horrified to learn that the doctor was certain he would have perished if he had been left unaided for any longer.

Watchers saw Asha burst into Aadi’s apartment to confront him about Nina, but even though she was in training to become an emergency room nurse, she didn’t recognise something was wrong. Upon entering using a key, she noticed that Aadi appeared to be dozing off on the couch and that there was an empty beer can on the table.

Asha assumed her brother was inebriated and had maybe passed out, as she let rip at him and told him she never wanted to see him again. She was standing over him, but didn’t realise that he was attempting to talk to her even though he wasn’t responding to her yelling.

She went out and closed the door behind her, ignoring the fact that Aadi was slowly becoming unconscious from breathing in carbon monoxide poisoning. Fortunately, Amy spotted Aadi there after running into Asha and quickly took him to the hospital.

On X, viewers criticised Asha for her potentially deadly error, which might have resulted in Aadi’s death. Many questioned how she could have known that something was off considering that he had presumably just had one beer and was not waking up to her yelling. “And Asha is meant to be a training paramedic?” a viewer questioned.

“I think I’d bin your paramedic course, if were you Asha,” remarked a second spectator. It could be more secure overall. While a fourth fan added, “some paramedic asha is,” a third fan concurred, saying, “Asha needs to do her assessment module again.”
