Emmerdale spoiler video: Worried Chas angrily confronts Liam over Paddy amid cancer fear

In Emmerdale, Chas Dingle’s (Lucy Pargeter) unplanned relationship with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is about to take a disturbing turn.

Liam and Chas spent Friday, January 12, together, making cakes. While Chas was a lousy cook and burned her first batch, Liam, who reared Leanna alone after her mother passed away, astounded us all with his artistic ability.

Liam and Chas realized they were starting to get along throughout their day, but things became uncomfortable when Liam kissed him and ran off.

Future episodes will see Liam and Chas sleeping together and enjoying one other’s company once again.

Everything changes, however, when an alarmed Liam informs Chas that he detected a lump in her breast later on.

In this brand-new film, Chas visits Liam at his residence. She is upset and believes Liam has informed Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Mandy (Lisa Riley) about her health condition, but Liam clarifies that he just unintentionally disclosed that they shared a bed.

Liam comforts Chas, but he can’t help but worry about how she’s not returning his calls.

Chas is in denial and acting as if there isn’t an issue, but will she talk to anybody else about this?

Actress Lucy Pargeter said: ‘When the producers initially discussed this plot with me I knew I didn’t want us to shy away from any element of this diagnosis for Chas. It is all the more heartbreaking for her to learn that Chas has breast cancer, as she saw her own mother pass away after an inoperable illness.

“Our audience is extremely familiar with her; they have witnessed her relationships and are aware of her flaws, passions, fears, insecurities, and quirks.” Given all that has occurred to her and her mother, it will thus have more significance for them to see this drama unfold.

“This, in my opinion, is the beauty of our genre—soap.” I am well conscious of the enormous responsibility that comes with our relaying this narrative, however. I’m hoping we can honor it.

Like everything, there will be ups and downs; it won’t be all sunshine and daisies. However, I hope it feels and looks genuine. Additionally, it could be beneficial if a small number of patients seek treatment for breast changes that don’t feel or look right.
