Even if Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) in Emmerdale isn’t quite at the bottom yet, his behavior is spiraling out of control.
Aaron was a shattered and enraged person when he returned to the town. After learning that his behavior was out of control and that he would either murder someone or be killed himself, Cain (Jeff Hordley) had brought him back from Italy.
All of this is a result of Aaron’s sorrow over his sister Liv’s (Isobel Steele) her away in 2022 when she was struck by a caravan during a severe storm. Aaron held his mother Chas (Lucy Pargeter) accountable for Liv’s death since Chas’s relationship with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) was essential to the story.
He has been a terrible person ever since he came back, bullying, torturing, and even physically attacking Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), Liv’s husband.
With the exception of Chas’s younger sister Eve (Bella James), not many people are exempt from Aaron’s general rudeness. Chas has also taken the brunt of Aaron’s rage. With her, he shows that there is still a kind and kind person behind all the rage. He’s not completely useless.
Not that you would have known it from watching the episode on Monday, January 15, when he attempted, but was unable, to convince Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) to continue vehicle theft with him. Mack took Moira’s (Natalie J. Robb) advice to avoid making enemies of Aaron’s family and to avoid interacting with him seriously.
Feeling a little confused without his sidekick, Aaron headed to the Hide to get wasted. While Cain was there, he took advantage of the situation to treat him horribly in an attempt to incite a fight.
Aaron went outside and stomped when that failed. Aaron wanted to kiss Ethan (Emile John) and apologized for treating him badly in the past. Ethan followed him. After pushing Aaron away and turning everyone against him, Ethan left him sitting alone and furious.
Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling), who had traveled to the Hide to meet April (Amelia Flanagan), overheard his conversation with Ethan. This took a lot of work for her because she had previously told April that she detested the fact that people stared at her while on the school group chat everyone thought she was already in jail.
In order to attend to the party with her brother Heath (Sebastian Dowling) and their friend Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes), Cathy borrowed a vehicle. However, Heath was murdered in the automobile collision that occurred on the way to Hotten. While Cathy maintains that Angelica was driving at the time of the collision, only Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) concurs with her, and the majority of people feel that Cathy is to blame for her twin brother’s demise.
Aaron stopped Cathy as she was heading to the Hide. “But it’s strange, isn’t it?” he said. “Playing the villain.”
In response, Cathy said that she wasn’t, but Aaron offered some guidance.
But be honest with yourself. I really am like you, Cathy. You’ve been corrupted. You can’t be dissatisfied if you don’t think things will change.
Poor Cathy gave up and made her way back home, worried that Aaron could be correct and that others would always see her as “tainted.”
And having somewhat ruined someone else’s day, Aaron kept sinking further and deeper into his own self-pity.
