In Coronation Street, Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) has been talking about her lover a lot over the last several months.
Although we haven’t seen him, we’ve learned from the disturbed teen’s statements that he’s wealthy and often gives her costly things.
Recent episodes of the ITV soap opera showcased further intrigue as Lauren’s friend Sabrina (Luana Santos) started probing her about her new connection.
Viewers of Corrie are left wondering whether we’ll ever really discover who Lauren has been talking to, as characters like Max (Paddy Bever) and Daniel (Rob Mallard) are equally intrigued and a little worried about the mystery guy.
Some ITV soap opera viewers are presently debating if Lauren’s boyfriend is genuine on Twitter (now named X).
Let’s not forget that Lauren previously blackmailed Ryan (Ryan Prescott) and Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) for money after feeling pressed by someone on the phone, even if it’s plausible she made the person up. Could this guy be the one Lauren is dating right now?
Some are also wondering whether the guy is Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), who made a comeback at the beginning of the year.
Fans worried about Lauren back in December claimed they hoped her new boyfriend wasn’t criminal gangster Damon, but were they correct?
Iain MacLeod, the head of Corrie, has said that Lauren has a lot more to give in this captivating plot, so maybe we will find out who her lover is after all.
“They’ll now explore all the different elements of Cait’s range as in, she’s quite punchy, she’s quite funny, we’ll see her get to be in quite romantic set of stories, and she will continue to be quite troubled,” he added. “We’ll see a complexity to her character that maybe we weren’t aware of.”
