‘Iconic!’ Emmerdale fans are loving Paula Lane as she makes ‘brilliant’ debut as Ella Forster

After Paula Lane made her ITV soap opera debut, fans of Emmerdale expressed their affection for the newcomer.

The actress, who is well known for her role as Coronation Street’s Kylie Platt, is currently a Dales character named Ella Forster.

Yesterday, January 16, Ella arrived and went to a veterinary ball where she met Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Mandy (Lisa Riley). Ella served as the PA for a blustery and demanding managing director named Jules (Wayne Cater), who was already agitating and shoving people about before the event had even officially begun.

When Mandy showed there, he behaved even worse. She was gorgeous, wearing a black dress that was reminiscent of Liz Hurley’s famous 1990s gown and held together with ornate safety pins.

Jules, who found him amusing, continued calling Mandy “Liz.” Even worse for her, Paddy pretended to be embarrassed of Mandy and would not confront Jules.

Ella heard the remarks and became weary and enraged at her boss’s retaliatory actions. Ella informed Jules that “the whining scrotum I get to call my boss” was the only thing bothering her, in an attempt to defend Mandy.

Jules began to inform Ella that if this was her method of turning in her notice, Mandy should stop trying to stifle her laughter, but she interrupted him.

“It’s not,” she said. “This is,” he said, and covered his head with the contents of a pint glass.

After only one episode, Ella has had a significant influence. Fans of Emmerdale took to Twitter (now called X) to share their joy at seeing Paula Lane return to the show and to show their appreciation for the character.

One person on social media commented, “I’m already obsessed with Ella.”

Clearly happy to see Paula in a different soap opera, one fan commented, “I’m already in love with @lane_paula.” Welcome to #emmerdale, #ella. She will be such a joyful, loving character.

Paula responded to the beautiful remarks on the platform as well, writing, “So many lovely messages about @emmerdale and Ella – feeling enormously grateful to be a part of this show.” I have had such warm reception from everyone, and this is the best start I could have asked for.

Ella will soon be settling into a new work at the doctor’s office, which involves shifting houses, when she gets to the hamlet.

She is 29 years old. Paula said, “She is a single woman who is very professional.”

She isn’t flinty, but she also doesn’t hold back. She seems like a great buddy to have on your side, in my opinion. She also sort of immediately becomes friends with Mandy, which I believe will make them a terrific duo. I’m very happy about that.

There is a little amount of competition and perhaps some pyrotechnics. There’s a little triangle of affection. On the other hand, one never knows what could occur in private. Working out of the new surgery, I’ll be right in the middle of the community.
