Coronation Street fans were left shocked over a twist involving Lauren Bolton’s mystery boyfriend on Wednesday night as she continued to be grilled about him
On Wednesday night, a revelation involving Lauren Bolton’s unknown lover startled fans of Coronation Street.
The disturbed young girl has just lately begun to indicate that she has a wealthy lover, which has many close to her wondering whether he really exists. Max Turner asked Lauren around for tea with his girlfriend Sabrina Adetiba on Monday’s programme. Sabrina also invited Gav.
Lauren became worried when Sabrina proposed that he accompany her in an attempt to learn more about Lauren’s partner. Lauren eventually joined the three, but she later said that her boyfriend had to leave since he had to work late. Lauren and Gav hit it off right away, but her phone promptly died.
As Lauren excused herself and headed out, she disclosed that her boyfriend had sent her a message asking to meet up. Speaking about Lauren’s secret lover, Max noted that it’s “really weird” that no one has ever seen him, leading the group to wonder whether he truly exists.
Wednesday night, Sabrina persisted in questioning Lauren about her boyfriend. When she asked what kind of work he does, the young man said that he enjoys coding, IT, math, and computers. He also mentioned that his hours are so irregular that she hardly ever gets to see him. Lauren persisted in attempting to shift the topic, particularly when they proposed getting together. In response, Max chose to confront Lauren and enquire about her veracity, even doubting her existence.
The charge infuriated Lauren, who sobbed as she gave Max the order to leave the café. Lauren called her mysterious lover later on by herself and complained that everyone were still assuming he didn’t exist. When he attempted to phone her again, Lauren claimed that they were “finished” and the two began to dispute, with viewers not being able to see who was calling.
Viewers were stunned to learn that Lauren’s lover is real after believing, like the other cobblestone inhabitants, that he was made up. They took to Twitter, and now X. “Wasn’t anticipating that Lauren was really seeing someone #Corrie,” one user commented, while another wrote, “Who is Lauren’s mysterious boyfriend? Tell us now, please! Another viewer said, “#Corrie, what’s up with Lauren’s secret boyfriend? “#Corrie,” one viewer of the soap opera said, “I want to know who Lauren’s ‘boyfriend’ is. #Corrie.”
It happens as Iain MacLeod, the head of Coronation Street, hinted about problematic Lauren’s future on the ITV serial opera. In 2022, Lauren moved to Weatherfield after assisting Max in joining a radical far-right gang. At first, Max showed interest in Lauren, but their relationship quickly cooled down once it became clear what the group’s true intentions were. Her father was one of the group’s leaders, and she and Max had been forced into it all.
After that, Lauren made an effort to change her ways and obtained employment at Roy’s Rolls, but she quickly turned back to crime by using money to blackmail Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor on their relationship. Additionally, last year, Ryan reported the young person out of duty and was shocked to discover that Lauren had been uploading footage on O-Vidz in an attempt to raise money.
Last year, Corrie’s boss Iain hinted to Lauren’s future, saying, “There’s definitely more to come from her, she’ll have quite a big role to play [in 2024].” He went on to say: “There’s more to come and we’ll see a complexity to her character that maybe we weren’t aware of until now.”
Iain revealed further plot details with his statement, “We’ll see her get to be in quite a romantic set of stories.” She’ll be quite disturbed for some time to come. She still has much to offer, both alone and as Roy’s kind of next project.”
