A number of issues were considered – but the truth was finally discovered
One Corrie resident’s recent issues have been linked to a serious health concern.
In scenes from tonight’s [Wednesday, January 17] episode of Coronation Street, the family was seen together at Weatherfield General prior to learning that little Joseph Brown will get a Lyme Disease diagnosis. Physicians surmise that the child contracted the illness during a recent camping trip.
Dad Chesney and stepmother Gemma, who was previously taken from the family by social services on suspicion of purposefully poisoning Joseph, are concerned about the origin of the schoolboy’s sickness after so many other possibilities were ruled out in light of his mysterious symptoms. When he was taken to the hospital today evening and the issue was identified by the medical staff, things reached a dramatic peak.
The worried parents were informed that Lyme disease symptoms often mimic those of the flu in kids, making it simple to overlook the true source of the issue. Fortunately, the family received assurances that, with the right care, the disease’s effects were “usually totally reversible”.
A tick bite from an infected tick may result in the bacterial illness known as Lyme disease. Antibiotics may be used to treat it. Ticks are often found in grassy or wooded settings, but they have also been seen in gardens and urban green spaces.
In order to show Joseph’s diagnosis and help raise awareness, Coronation Street has been closely collaborating with Lyme illness UK on the signs and treatments of the illness. This will help prevent the spread of Lyme disease.
Maria and Gary, meantime, are getting closer to understanding the true cause of Liam’s bullying. The youngster had been the victim of cyberbullying for some time, and the couple was taken aback when they learned that he had missed school.
Additionally, after reviewing his papers, Adam Barlow, who visits Harvey in jail, thinks he has a strong case for an appeal. Harvey informs the attorney that the hitman handling Damon will also take care of him.
