Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has made a claim about the soap as he told his social media followers: “If you know, you know!” The actor has seemingly been enjoying his time back at work after a break over the Christmas and New Year period.

Jude, who is known for playing Sam Blakeman in the ITV soap, revealed last week his was back filming at the Salford-based set as he took to social media, which is run and managed by his parents, with a snap taken during his first day back on the street. He could be seen dressed in his character’s school uniform alongside a number of his young co-stars also ready for the Weatherfield classroom.

As he beamed alongside Isabelle and William Flanagan (Hope Dobbs and Joseph Brown), Savannah Kunyo (Eliza Woodrow), Charlie Wrenshall (Liam Connor) and Liam McCheyne (Dylan Wilson), Jude captioned the post: “Great first day back of 2024 with this lot #coronationstreet #corriekids #filming #corrie.”

And Jude has continued to show he’s enjoying being back working at Corrie with his latest post. The youngster shared a picture of himself and co-star Billie Naylor, who took over the role of Ruby Dobbs last year, and the pair could be seen tucking into a treat in the canteen.

“When one of the best things about Corrie is the canteen,” Jude, who also stars in Sky comedy Brassic with former Corrie favourite Michelle Keegan, started the caption of his post. He then added: “iykyk [if you know, you know] Lunch and cake with @billie_naylor24 today.”

And it didn’t take his fans and followers long to respond including @anne_connors1101 who said: “Looks yummy Jude and can’t wait to see you in Corrie soon,” and @josiemusic2 who simply replied: “Great pic!”

Jude’s return to work came after he faced a sad loss. The 12-year-old announced a few days after Christmas that his great gran, Sheila Bolton, known to him as ‘MA’ had died.

The post featuring an illustration and a picture of Shelia read: “Yesterday my Great Gran (MA) passed away. I will miss her forever. I was ‘made’ for MA but that’s a story for another day. MA is the reason older people are my favourites. Rest in peace Sheila Bolton.”

The comments section of the post on Instagram was soon flooded with messages of condolences for the young soap star and his family including from Corrie co-star Alex Bain, who portrays Simon Barlow on the cobbles, who replied: “So sorry mate hope you’re doing okay feel free to reach out if you need anything!”
