After encountering many roadblocks in their attempt to conceal Keanu Taylor’s death in recent EastEnders scenes, The Six remain on edge, and things will only get worse for the Walford matriarchs.
When Denise Fox (Diane Parish) discovered her famous jewellery was buried with Keanu, she almost placed them all in danger by trying to exhume his corpse again.
Though Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) was able to stop it thankfully, the ladies are still afraid that they will be discovered, particularly because there is now substantial evidence that suggests one of them is the guilty person.
The ladies love to talk about their crime in public, which is sure to get them in trouble eventually, even though they are terrified of being found out.
Unfortunately, that moment could come sooner rather than later when Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) listens in on Suki Panesar’s (Balvinder Sopal) and Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) private discussion about the café.
Before the tragic murder on Christmas Eve, Nish had been struck over the head by Denise, and the ladies had been left scared when he awoke from his coma.
They were reassured, however, when Suki admitted that he was unable to recall anything and that they were ready to accept their made-up narrative in which Keanu had attacked him before running away.
Regretfully, Nish is intrigued by Suki and Linda’s chat, and he spends the rest of the day questioning them until he has enough information to conclude that Suki and Denise must be concealing something.
Nish tells Suki that his memory is returning because he is determined to find out what is going on, which makes her anger boil.
He threatens to call the police if she doesn’t sign over all of their enterprises to him, so things only become worse.
The Six are shaken by this new development, and soon they are gathering for another crisis meeting where the major subject of discussion is how to deal with Nish.
It is finally decided that Suki ought to comply with his requests for the sake of the group, but will this be sufficient to deter Nish?
Actor Navin Chowdhry said that Nish is willing to go to considerable measures in order to discover what the ladies are concealing.
“I believe that right now, his life’s work is to figure out exactly what happened.” He wants to exact vengeance and punishment for what occurred to him, but he is also enraged by others’ power over him and lack of control since they know something that he does not.
“So, at this point, his only goal in life is to figure out exactly what happened.”
