Emmerdale spoilers: Moira reveals earth-shattering secret murder

In Emmerdale, Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) has revealed to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) a huge secret.

Laura Shaw, the head of the soap opera, hinted to us a few months ago that Moira would be making a significant confession to a villager.

“It’s a secret from her past that she’s going to reveal,” she continued. She attempts to assist the person she is speaking to in some manner, but what will happen when they discover Moira’s darkest secret?

The secret in issue, as Moira revealed to Charity on Friday, January 19, turned out to be her responsibility for Emma Barton’s demise.

A whodunit mystery that centred on Emma Barton’s death broadcast in 2017. Locals Adam Barton (Adam Thomas), Cain (Jeff Hordley), and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) were among the suspects; however, it was later discovered that Moira shoved Emma down a bridge after Emma provoked her over the murder of her daughter Holly (Sophie Powles).

Following Charity’s impulsive outburst from yesterday, Moira visited her in tonight’s episode. Moira ultimately became emotional and said that Charity was having difficulties after the death of Damon Harris.

Over Christmas, Charity shot and murdered Damon. As Moira said, Charity murdered Damon in order to rescue Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb), yet Charity still took a life because she couldn’t handle the situation.

Charity tried to get Moira out of her home as she broke down, but she was not going anywhere. Charity denied feeling resentment and killing Damon on purpose when Moira questioned her. Moira then indicated she understood Charity’s feelings in an attempt to relate and be of assistance, which sparked a huge revelation.

Moira took a seat and filled Charity in on all of Emma Barton’s details. She said Emma was making fun of her kids and she couldn’t stand it. As a result, she shoved Emma over the bridge and watched as she plummeted to her death.

She went on to relate how her son Adam was put to blame, but that was only after Emma’s fall became so vivid in her memory that she turned to drink to dull the agony and almost killed herself, only for Cain to rescue her.

Charity was in a dire situation and wanted to know when she would feel like herself again. Moira was unable to respond appropriately, but she did emphasise Charity how important it was to be honest and tell Mackenzie, even if Charity was afraid to do so.

It was unexpected and abrupt when Moira’s secret was revealed, but will Charity tell anybody else?

Is this the start of a difficult few months for the adored heroine, Laura Shaw hinting that this revelation “may threaten Moira’s whole life”?
