As he exacts vengeance on Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), who has always been a nasty piece of work, is about to grow much worse in forthcoming EastEnders scenes.
After a difficult Christmas Day, Suki was glad to learn that Nish had consented to a divorce, ending her terrible marriage to him.
But in later scenes, Nish invites the Giani from their temple to mediate the divorce in an attempt to humiliate Suki and make it as unpleasant as possible for her.
Even worse, after recovering from the Christmas Day wounds he sustained from Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Nish becomes further motivated to uncover the truth after overhearing a discussion between Suki and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) raises doubts in his mind.
Nish goes to great lengths to get vengeance on his wife since he is certain that they are concealing something.
In order to keep the café and Keanu’s corpse safe from Nish, Suki is under pressure from Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) to finalise the divorce agreement. When Suki goes around to discuss matters, Nish keeps probing her about Christmas night.
She manipulates the situation in an effort to mislead him, but he completely alters his strategy when Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) subsequently divulges some information about Stacey’s history.
He bursts into the Slater home and confronts a scared Stacey because he is determined to get the truth out of someone, but Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) stops him in his tracks.
Suki goes to meet Nish when things are tense, and he doesn’t take long to pull a fast one.
He admits that he has had second thoughts about their agreement and that he intends to maintain all of the companies, including the café.
Suki is left stuck in their marriage when he shockingly makes it obvious that he won’t divorce her if she doesn’t agree.
Suki is faced with a very tough choice: take Nish to court and risk his calling the police, or accept the offer and regain her freedom.
Will she give in to his demands and regain her life at last, or will she give up her independence to keep The Six’s secret?
