Next week on EastEnders, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) will tell his friends the truth about his illness in an open and sincere chat.
The adored figure received a diagnosis over the summer after being struck in the stomach by Tommy Moon, the unstable son of Sonny Kendall.
After that, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) suggested that Alfie visit A&E to be checked out, and the medical staff there gave him some unsettling news.
Additional testing indicated that Alfie’s enlarged prostate was malignant.
Alfie hasn’t yet informed his other buddies that he has been getting help from people like Kat (Jessie Wallace), Linda, and Phil.
Next week, during one of his last treatment appointments, Alfie runs across a scared patient named Shahir. They start talking, but when Shahir’s family members arrive while he is alone himself, Alfie starts to feel lonely.
Linda asks Alfie, Ian (Adam Woodyatt), and Billy (Perry Fenwick) to join her for a drink in the pub. Good conversation with his friends, till all of a sudden Alfie can’t make it to the bathroom in time, which leads to an accident.
Alfie feels ashamed about wetting himself in the bar the next day, and Linda asks him to tell Ian and Billy about his disease.
She argues that Alfie has to let his loved ones to stand by him, and in due course, he comes clean to his astonished pals.
Ian and Billy are taken aback, but they leave Alfie with a sense of gratitude and a promise to support him no matter what.
