Lauren Bolton has become the subject of much speculation since her return to the Coronation Street cobbles as fans try and work out who her secret boyfriend is
Fans of Coronation Street believe they have uncovered a surprise involving Lauren Bolton, because her lover in secret has been “exposed.”
The identity of Lauren’s mysterious lover has been the subject of considerable conjecture, with some admirers even believing they have proof that she is pregnant by him. While some fans believed she was making up her boyfriend status, others conjectured that it may have something to do with Bethany Platt’s comeback and that the unknown guy might really be her ex-boyfriend Nathan.
But following tonight’s new scene, viewers are certain they know who the mysterious guy is, and they anticipate his unexpected return to the Cobbles when Lauren chooses to reject him.
One fan noted that Lauren broke up with her lover over the phone last week: “That one phone call where Lauren broke up with him, she didn’t reveal a lot about who he might be.” More senior? Were you married? A member of her repulsive father’s group? Is this the same person to whom she owing money in the past as well? #Corrie #PatronageStreet.”
Some viewers are certain that Lauren is dating Damon Hay’s son, Jacob Hay. “I wonder if Jacob is Lauren’s boyfriend?” one person said. As one viewer surmised, “#Corrie, I believe Jacob is Lauren’s boyfriend. Now that Harvey and Damon are back, it would make sense for him to go back. It could possibly be related to Simon’s departure from #Corrie.”
Early in 2023, Jack James Ryan, who portrays Jacob on Corrie, left the show. At the moment, he wrote: “That’s it, guys. Out and about with Jacob Hay. “Brother X, I’m going to miss you,” fans erupted in celebration of his appearance on the programme.
He had before expressed to us his hope that Jacob will eventually make a comeback to reunite with Amy Barlow. “The best time to bring a character back is when it’s going to cause the most damage,” he said in reference to one of the authors. I imagine that in five years, when Amy is settling down and ready to tie the knot with the guy she really loves, he would burst through the doors and declare, “I object,” or whatever the wedding lingo is. I believe he deserves the chance to clean his record, thus I think it would be good for him to obtain it. Though I believe Amy would be content to visit him in private, he wouldn’t get the nicest reaction.”
