In Emmerdale, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) has been going through a lot since she unintentionally killed Damon Harris (Robert Beck) on Christmas Day.
Charity rushed to free Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) from Damon after seeing him holding him at gunpoint at an abandoned factory. However, during a struggle for the pistol, Charity inadvertently shot him.
Charity watched as Damon died in front of her eyes, and even though the police found no evidence of her involvement, she has been carrying the shame of what she did.
She has been making every effort to conceal her severe PTSD symptoms from her classmates since the awful occurrence.
Though he attempts to assist, husband Mack is unable to reach her in the next moments, which reveal exactly how much she is hurting.
When little Moses disappears, the family’s situation worsens and they all get anxious.
Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) is disturbed to discover that Charity’s anxiety is the cause of his absence.
Moira goes to visit Charity since she was already worried about her well-being after an outburst from her a few days before.
When she voices her worries, Charity dismisses them, saying that everything is well.
Even though Charity has frequent anxiety attacks and flashbacks, which obviously refutes the claim, she is still able to persuade Moira.
