In Emmerdale, Danny Miller’s character Aaron Dingle has finally crossed a line that is costing him his family.
His errant attitude has been edging the line for some time, but even the Dingles have their boundaries, and violence against one of their own prompts swift action.
Aaron’s going to find out the hard way that he’s not invincible.
When Cain (Jeff Hordley) learned that Aaron was also taking automobiles out of the garage, he confronted Aaron directly to express his disgust. The two then exchanged punches.
Aaron delivered severe, violent strikes that required hospitalisation, demonstrating his unpredictability. Cain suffered a head injury and lost consciousness for a short while. The message was clearly understood.
Now when he’s in a poor place, Moira (Natalie J Robb) keeps watch beside Cain’s bed. When he finally wakes up slowly, she is relieved, but it’s obvious he’s not feeling well and that she should stay in bed entirely. However, Cain being Cain disregards all medical advice and releases himself.
Aaron, on the other hand, finds himself outside the centre and shut out of the Dingle Clan.
Mack (Lawrence Robb), who may have dubious morals himself, gives him a hard time and makes it apparent that even for him, assaulting family is going too far.
Aaron is also made to understand by Chas that this is the last time he will be doing this. Not returning, not contacting Eve. She wants him gone as he is harmful.
He’s been striving to get to this spot, but now that he’s there, is it truly what he wants? He’s alone and unwelcome.
Cain is having trouble outside of the hospital and is taking painkillers like a smartass. When Moira attempts to approach Cain about her concerns that he isn’t coping, he quickly shuts her off.
Aaron’s actions seem to have significant consequences; is this the start of his departure from the village?
