The daughter of Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), Jade Masood (Elizabeth Green), has a new acquaintance in forthcoming episodes of EastEnders.
Jade was born into the world by her mother Shabnam during a one-night affair with Dean. After being fostered, the little girl, formerly known as Roya, was given the name Jade.
A few weeks ago, she reappeared when it was revealed that she was awaiting a transplant at a nearby hospital. After Linda (Kellie Bright) acknowledged that her father had raped her, it became clear that Jade was unaware of his background and had fled soon after.
The next week, Jade visits Albert Square and strikes up a conversation with Jean Slater (Gillian Wright). Their friendship and camaraderie win over a cunning Dean.
Jean stops over to visit Jade later in the week and offers her some cake. She informs Dean that she is doing this for Shabnam and Shirley (Linda Henry), not for him, as soon as she gets there.
It’s obvious that Jean wants Jade to feel comfortable in Walford, but will Dean take advantage of this?
When Dean came back to Walford in October of last year, he shared some information concerning his mother, who hasn’t been seen since the end of 2022.
Dean said that Shirl had mental health issues when Mick vanished, which may indicate that he took advantage of her weakness to sneak back in.
Still doubtful, Linda questioned Dean about Shirl’s formal diagnosis, but he remained evasive and refused to respond.
However, was Dean being honest?
